Dear God, so far today, I've done alright,

I haven't gossiped and I haven't lost my temper,

I haven't been grumpy, nasty, or selfish,

And I'm really glad of that.

But in a few minutes Lord, I'm going to get out of bed,
and from then on...............

I'm going to need A LOT of help.

Funny how $100 looks so big when you take it to Church, but so small when you take it shopping

Funny how people want to get a front seat at any game or concert,
But scramble to get a back seat in Church.

Funny how we believe what the newspapers say,,
But question what the Bible says.

Funny how hard it is to read a chapter of the Bible,
But how easy it is to read 100 pages of a novel.

THE  CLEANING  WOMAN

There was a little old cleaning woman who went to the local Church.
At the end of the service she went to the Vicar and said she would
like to become a member of the congregation.

The Vicar listened as she told him how she had accepted Jesus and wanted to be baptized and become a regular worshipper.

The Vicar thought to himself " Oh my, she 's so unkemp, even smells a little, and her fingernails aren't clean...She pick up garbage, cleans
toilets- what would the other members think of her"

He told her that she needed to go home and pray about it and then decide.

The following week here she came again.  She told the Vicar that she had prayed about it and still wanted to be batpized.

"I have passed this Church for so long, it is so beautiful, and I truly
want to become a member.

Again the Vicar told her to to go home and pray some more.

A few weeks later while he was eating out at a restaurant, the Vicar saw the little old lady.   He did not want her to think that he was ignoring her, so he approached her and said " I haven't seen you for a while, is everything alright"

"Oh yes, the little old lady said "I talked with Jesus, and he told me
not to worry about becoming a member of your Church"

He did ?  said the Vicar

Oh yes, she replied. " He said even He hasn't been able to get into your Church yet, and he's been trying for years"

THE HOLY ALPHABET

Although things are not perfect,
Because of trial or pain.
Continue in thanksgiving,
Do not begin to blame
E ven when the times are hard,
Fierce winds are bound to blow,
God is forever able,
Hold on to what you know,
 Imagine life without His love,
Joy would cease to be,
Keep thanking Him for all the things,
Love imparts to thee.
Move out of "Camp Complaining"
No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power.
Praise can do alone.
Quit looking at the future,
Redeem the time at hand,
Start every day with worship
To "thank" is a command.
Until we see Him coming,
Victorious in the sky,
We'll run the race with gratitude.
Xalting God most high,
Yes, there'll be good times,
    and yes some will bad....but
Zion waits in glory..
   .where none are ever sad.
  

I am too blessed to be stressed

The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is
the distance between your knees and the floor.

The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything.
